about me.
PHS '17 / MIAD '21
My name is Sage Tillmann and I'm a senior and will be graduating from Preble High School as part of the class of 2017. Ive lived out in the "country" my whole life, when I tell people I live in the New Franken/ Dyckesville area and that I work at the landscaping company my dad owns, I always get "Your a hick??"... no, not at all. I am 100% a big city girl and that's why I'm beyond excited to be attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design next fall to pursue a major in interior architect and design. Everytime I go to MIlwaukee i just look at the downtown skyline and just think, wow.. I'm going to be living there next year. Thinking about all the street art and the amazing opportunities i will have as an artist is just so exciting.
I have an older brother, a younger step brother, and a younger step sister. Luckly, I have not only two wonderful parents I also have an amazing stepmom and “stepdad” and I am blessed to have all four of them in my life to support me and my choices in life. I also have a dog named coco and about 30-40 fish, i'm not sure, too many to count. Volleyball has always been pretty important in my family. My dad, my brother, my aunts and uncles, and my cousins all play or played volleyball and i'm definitely going to miss that next fall. I started playing when i was in 4th grade and i'm proud to say that I've been on Preble’s Volleyball team all 4 years of high school. |
more about MIAD."Our Interior Architecture + Design program is built on the premise that spaces and their furnishings can affect people in deep, meaningful ways, and that those who create them are truly building whole environments that contribute to our collective psyche. Throughout the program, you'll develop your ability to solve spatial problems with solutions that embody both aesthetic and practical concerns. While studying building and construction techniques, designing light fixtures, cabinetry, furniture and more, you'll create dynamic interior environments and work through space planning exercises with real-world clients. The fundamentals of site and landscape, as well as the details of material, color, and finish, will all be explored in your coursework. In the Interior Architecture + Design program, as in the real world, innovation and creativity are equal partners with functionality and fabrication. See examples of the kind of work you'll make in our Interior Architecture + Design Image Gallery."
